Ellen Wong
Ellen Wong (* 1985 in Scarborough , Ontario , Canada ) is a Canadian actress .
life and career
Ellen Wong was born in Ontario in 1985. Her family is from Cambodia . While still in school at L'Amoreaux Collegiate Institute, she appeared in an amateur drama group and worked on smaller television productions. After graduating from school, she began studying Radio and Television Arts at Ryerson University . While still a student, she took on her first minor roles in a number of television series.
She became known to a larger audience in the 2010 comic book adaptation Scott Pilgrim against the rest of the world in the role of Knives Chau . During the casting, director Edgar Wright found out that Wong has a green belt in the martial arts Taekwondo , which was ultimately one of the reasons for the cast.
In 2011, Wong appeared on the television series Combat Hospital , which deals with work in an ISAF military hospital in Kandahar, Afghanistan. From April to May 2012 she is shooting the remake Silent Night with Jaime King , Malcolm McDowell , Donal Logue , Jamie Kennedy and Brendan Fehr , which is based on the slasher film Silent Night - Horror Night .
