Ellends is a place and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Groß-Siegharts in the Waidhofen an der Thaya district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 62 building areas with 41,863 m² and 95 gardens on 49,107 m² in the cadastral community of Ellends , in 1989/1990 there were 61 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 115 and in 2009/2010 there were 64 buildings on 148 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 424 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 388 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 420 hectares and 390 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018 410 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 396 hectares. The average soil climate number of Ellends is 39.5 (as of 2010).
