Elmar Ferber

Elmar Ferber (born March 15, 1944 in Gummersbach ; † May 14, 2008 in Cologne ) was a German filmmaker , author and publisher . As a director and producer, he mainly created documentaries for ARD and ZDF. As a publisher, he was particularly successful with his anthology series.

Act

From 1994 to 2007 Ferber was editor and publisher in the self-founded publishing house Ferber & Partner , in which he realized several edition series. In the “library (new) authors” series, it offered young, often inexperienced authors a first platform and experienced authors the opportunity to publish articles on a specific anthology topic. From 1998 to 2007 he published the monthly “Lit-Info” with reviews and dates from the literary scene. He paid particular attention to the "Video-Edition Literatur" (literature to hear and see) as a publication with a special intention.

Authors such as Isolde Ahr, Miriam Arens, Mike Bartel , Christina Block, Ingo Cesaro , Evert Everts , Carsten Sebastian Henn , Anne Jüssen, Kay Löffler and Achim Wagner have appeared in the publishing house .

According to the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger , he enriched the last years of the "Cologne Book Autumn", which took place annually until 2003, with his book program as "Cologne's happiest small publisher".

Ferber was a member of the Association of German Writers (VS) in ver.di, Cologne district.
