The vehicles of type D 2 were tank locomotives of the Reichseisenbahnen in Alsace-Lorraine . They later ran under the designation T 3.

The vehicles were based on the Prussian T 3 .

A vehicle, the AL 6114 (Cn2t, Grafenstaden 1891 / serial number 4324) of the AMTF Train 1900 association has been preserved and is e.g. Currently (2014) on serviceable reprocessing in the Meiningen steam locomotive works .
