The machines ran until 1906 under the generic names A8 and A9 . The vehicles supplied by Kitson from Great Britain were listed as the A8 and those of the Esslingen machine factory as the A9. The vehicles had a Belpair standing boiler and an Allan control . At first they were with vapor barriers of the type Ricour equipped. These were later replaced by an air brake . The locomotives were given type 2 T 9.5 tenders . They were retired during and after the First World War .
