Emil Heinrich Otto Müller

Emil Heinrich Otto Müller (born March 6, 1826 in Kassel , † April 19, 1914 in Radebeul ) was a German classical philologist and high school teacher.

Müller attended high school in Kassel from 1835 and in Hanau from 1839 . In the fall of 1843 he began studying at the University of Marburg and continued in the fall of 1846 at the University of Berlin . In 1849 he received his doctorate in philosophy in Marburg, habilitated there in 1852 and was appointed private lecturer. At Easter 1854 he got a job as a teacher of ancient languages ​​and history at the Blochmann Institute and the associated Vitzthumisches Gymnasium in Dresden . After he moved to Leipzig in 1855 , where he worked as a private lecturer in philosophy and history at the University of Leipzig from 1856 , he became professor deputy headmaster at the grammar school in Freiberg in Saxony in 1862 . There he became rector in 1865, changed on April 8, 1872 in the same capacity to the Saxon state school St. Augustin in Grimma and finally became rector of the grammar school in Zittau on April 22, 1884 . After his retirement at Easter 1885, when he was appointed high school supervisor, he spent his old age in Radebeul.
