Emil Izsó [ ˈɛmil ˈiʒoː ] (born March 19, 1913 ; † unknown) was a Hungarian football player and football coach .

Career

Emil Izsó played in the first Hungarian league for the clubs SASC Budapest and SZFG Budapest before the Second World War . In 1949 he completed the soccer teacher training course at the Cologne Sports University.

In the 1950s Emil Izsó a. a. the TuS Wunstorf , the 1. FSV Mainz 05 in the Oberliga Southwest from 1953 to 1955, the TSG Ulm 46 and the ESV Ingolstadt and in the 1960s Prussia Hamelin , Union Böckingen and Bremerhaven 93 .

In 1951 Emil Izsó came to Hannover 96 in the Oberliga Nord , at that time the top division in Germany. After a weak 1951/52 season, in which the Lower Saxony long played against relegation, Izsó had to go. Only two years later, his successor Helmut Kronsbein reached the German championship with Hannover 96 in 1954.

From 1958 to 1960 Izsó coached VfB Oldenburg in the amateur league Lower Saxony West and achieved first place with the team in 1959 and second place in 1960. From 1967 to 1970 Emil Izsó was again head coach at VfB Oldenburg, which played the second highest German division at that time.

In July 1962 Izsó moved from Bremerhaven 93 to VfL Osnabrück , who was playing in the Oberliga Nord at the time. He received a two-year contract and the order with Osnabrück to qualify for the Bundesliga , which was to be introduced in August 1963. Despite a good first half of the season in 1962/63 , Osnabrück missed this goal and had to compete in the new, second-highest division, the Regionalliga Nord , in the 1963/64 season. Izsó was fired at the beginning of the season in October 1963 and replaced by Walter Komorowski. Osnabrück has not played in the top division since then.

From 1966 to 1967 Emil Izsó coached Sportfreunde victories in the third-highest German division. From 1967 to 1970 he was again at VfB Oldenburg. In the 1970/71 season he managed to secure relegation in the regional league with Phoenix Lübeck . 1972/73 Izsó was head coach at TuS Celle for one season .
