Emil Ernst Schmid (born March 10, 1873 in Friedrichstal (Baiersbronn) , † December 27, 1938 in Tübingen ) was a Württemberg governor .

Life

Born as the son of a hut cashier and accountant, Schmid studied law in Tübingen. During his studies in 1892 he became a member of the Normannia Tübingen Association . After his exams in 1896 and 1898, he went to the Württemberg interior administration in 1899 and in 1902 was a clerk at the Horb Oberamt . In 1902 he was given leave of absence and sent to the Stuttgart City Police Department as a police commissioner. In 1905 he became a bailiff at the Ravensburg Oberamt and then continued to work for the Stuttgart city ​​administration , where he became a bailiff in 1907. In 1913 he became a planned assessor with the title of Oberamtmann at the Oberamt Heilbronn . In 1916 he was appointed senior magistrate and senior officer in the Oberamt Neresheim . In 1919 he was the official administrator and senior official in the Oberamt Schorndorf . In 1924 he became police director in Ulm . Although he did not join the NSDAP , he became a senior government councilor in 1933 . In 1938 he retired.
