Emiliano Albín , full name Emiliano Albín Antognazza (born January 24, 1989 in Sauce ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.76 meter tall defender was never a member of the youth department of a football club and initially played as a striker for Liverpool from Canelones in his career . He had been a member of the first division squad of Club Atlético Peñarol at least since the Apertura 2009 and made his debut under coach Julio Ribas and studied during the first two years of his professional career at the Universidad de la República . In this half series he has already made six appearances in the Primera División . With the Aurinegros he played in the following period until the end of the 2011/12 season. In the 2009/10 season he and his team won the national championship. In total, he completed 67 first division games during this period and scored one goal. In addition, the regular player came to four appearances in the Liguilla Pre Libertadores of 2009, ran twice in the Copa Sudamericana 2010 and played 14 games in the Copa Libertadores . In the latter competition he reached the finals with the Aurinegros at the 2011 Copa Libertadores , in which they lost to the Brazilian club Santos FC . In the second leg he came on as a substitute, who, however, had to leave the field again in the course of the game. Then in August 2012 Albín moved to Boca Juniors on loan to neighboring Argentina for a year . At the beginning of January 2016, he initially trained with the second division club Atlético Torque , but then faced an engagement with the first division Juventud for the Clausura 2016 and had already signed a contract on January 27, 2016. The following day, however, he joined the Portuguese first division club FC Arouca until the end of the season, for which he completed seven league games (no goal) in the 2015/16 season. His team was fifth in the table and was eligible to start in the Europa League qualification for the 2016/17 season. In January 2017, the Uruguayan first division side Juventud signed him , for whom he played a total of 27 times (no goal) in the league in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Then he played for half a year for the Argentine first division promoted CA San Martín de Tucumán and since 2019 he has been under contract with Deportivo Santaní in Paraguay in the Primera División .

National team

Albín has already belonged to several national selection teams. So he was in the Uruguayan squad that won the bronze medal at the Pan American Games in 2011 . In this national team he made his debut under coach Juan Verzeri on October 5, 2011 in a 1-0 away win over Argentina. He played a total of six games on this team.

The following year he took part with the Uruguayan Olympic team in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London . During the tournament he was set up twice. In that national selection, he has appeared five times since his debut on April 25, 2012.
