Emma Kunz
Emma Kunz (born May 23, 1892 in Brittnau ; † January 16, 1963 in Waldstatt ) was a Swiss alternative practitioner , radiesthesist and artist .
Life
Emma Kunz grew up as the daughter of a poor hand weaver in Brittnau. Since childhood she was concerned with extraordinary phenomena. At the age of 18 she began to use her talent for telepathy and prophecy and to work with the pendulum . Her advice and therapies are said to have often achieved miraculous successes, with Emma Kunz strictly rejecting the term miracle, she merely attributed skills that should slumber in every person. In 1911 Emma Kunz traveled to the USA to follow a childhood sweetheart, but returned disappointed a year later to Brittnau, where she found work in a knitting mill. From 1923 to 1939 she worked as a housekeeper for the painter Jakob Welti . During this time she began to use the pendulum to examine the currents of force on earth. In 1930 she published a book of poems. From 1938 onwards, Emma Kunz began to use the pendulum to draw large-format pictures on graph paper. From 1940 to 1947 she lived in Brittnau again. In 1942 she claims to have found healing powers in Würenlos rock. This healing stone she gave the name AION A . From 1951 she lived in Waldstatt am Säntis , which was a holy mountain for her. In 1953 she self-published the book Novel Drawing Method , in which she presented her ideas about painting.
Act
In 1986 Anton C. Meier, the owner of Steinwerke A. Meier AG, founded the Emma Kunz Center in Würenlos in order to preserve Emma Kunz's research and images and to dismantle AION A and sell it as a natural remedy. Emma Kunz's wish was thus fulfilled that “her” place would become a meeting place for intellectual, cultural and healing work.
Meier was suffering from polio at the time, so the parents consulted Emma Kunz. Today Steinwerke A. Meier AG, which has since changed hands and owns three quarries, specializes in healing rock.

In 1973, the works of Emma Kunz were exhibited in the Aargauer Kunsthaus for the first time. The official opening of the Emma Kunz Museum in Würenlos took place on October 17, 1991. In 1999, pictures by Emma Kunz, together with works by Rudolf Steiner , Joseph Beuys and Andrej Belyj, were exhibited in the exhibition Richt Forces for the 21st Century at the Kunsthaus Zürich .
In 2018/2019, the Weltempfänger exhibition at the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus and Kunstbau Munich is dedicated to a largely unknown chapter of modernism. Works by Emma Kunz, Georgiana Houghton, Hilma af Klint and some video artists of the 20th century based on spiritual experiences could be seen.
AION A
In 1941 Anton C. Meier is said to have been the first patient to be cured of the after-effects of his polio with AION A. Since then, many Swiss naturopaths and therapists have been using AION A for rheumatic diseases, sports injuries and injuries to muscles, tendons and connective tissue. In Switzerland, AION A is available in pharmacies and drug stores.
