Emmerich Huber
Emmerich Huber (* 24. September 1903 in Vienna , † 10. August 1979 in Berlin ) was a German commercial artist , cartoonist , illustrator and cartoonist .
Life
Huber was the main illustrator of the magazine Die Blauband Woche , which was published by the German margarine brand Rama in the 1930s.
After finishing school, Huber became a technical draftsman in Berlin . From 1925 to 1933 he drew popular series such as The Latest from Uncle Jup and Hans and Lottchen . In 1933 he illustrated the book Be Optimist . On the orders of the Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda , Huber created the comic series Damals for the Völkischer Beobachter . Huber did not meet the newspaper publisher's requirements for open propaganda insofar as he relocated the plot of the comic to the Stone Age . After the war he illustrated, among other things, the books My Funny Fibel , Die Himmelswerkstatt and Bei Tüddelwitt in the Dwarf Forest .
In 1952 he became known to the general public for his caricatures in the weekly magazine Revue . He had his permanent place on the last page of the review with his picture sheet by Emmerich Huber and the family adventures of the Kindermann family . His signature was EMERICH HUBER with a line above the "M". His colleagues included Olaf Iversen , Peter Großkreuz and Gerhard Brinkmann .
