Engebret Engebretsen "Embret" Skogen (born August 20, 1887 in Løten , † September 4, 1968 in Hamar ) was a Norwegian sports shooter .
successes
Engebret Skogen took part in the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 in two disciplines. With the free rifle, he finished 31st in the three-position battle. In the three-position battle with the army rifle, he scored 95 points, as did Carl Osburn and Nikolaos Levidis , so that there was a play-off for second place behind Sándor Prokopp . Levidis scored only 70 points in this, while Osburn got 99 points. Skogen secured third place with 91 points and thus the bronze medal.
Skogen was the grandfather of Dag Fornæss , who became world and European champion in speed skating.
