In 2012 Laura Dern won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Series - Comedy or Musical . The series was also nominated in the category Best Series - Comedy or Musical . After two seasons, the series was discontinued by HBO in March 2013 due to low audience figures, despite the largely positive response from the critics.
