Michael White (born June 28, 1970 in Pasadena , California ) is an American actor, screenwriter and film and television producer.

biography

White was born in Pasadena, California in 1970. His father, the Reverend Mel White , is a writer and LGBT activist who later worked as a pastor in a liberal Christian church. White grew up in Pasadena and has been passionate about movies from a very early age. White is openly bisexual .

White attended Polytechnic School and Wesleyan University . After graduating from college, White wanted to write plays in New York City. He became a producer and writer at Dawson's Creek and later at Freaks and Geeks . Today White is a regular jury member at the Baltimore MicroCinefest and serves in the Elvis Impersonator's Hall of Fame .

Well-known scripts by White include The Good Girl , Nix wie aus aus Orange County , School of Rock , Nacho Libre and Year of the Dog . Mike White works with Jack Black especially often .

White was also active as an actor. He starred in a leading role in Chuck & Buck . White also played a supporting role in School of Rock which he wrote the script for. At the side of Hulk Hogan he was also seen in 1997 in the television film Shadow Warriors . Since the late 1990s he has also worked as a producer for film and television.

Mike White is vegan and supports the animal rights organization PETA .
