Enrico Franzoni
Enrico Franzoni (born January 10, 1920 in Locarno ; † September 7, 2008 there ) was a Swiss politician ( Catholic Conservative ).
biography
Frantoni graduated from Bern with a licentiate in law and then studied at the Institut universitaire de hautes études internationales in Geneva . He then opened a lawyer and notary practice in Locarno.
His political career began Franzoni in Muralto , where he worked for the Conservatives from 1948 to 1952 in the council was sitting, and from 1952 to 1963 mayor. From 1959 to 1975 he sat in the National Council , which he presided over in 1972/1973. He was also president of the CVP parliamentary group from 1971 to 1972 and president of the National Council's audit committee from 1969 to 1971. From 1963 to 1970 Franzoni was a member of the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe .
In 1973 the Ticino was an official candidate for the Federal Council of the CVP, but was not elected. Until 1977 he was President of Caritas Switzerland and Vice President of the PTT Board of Directors.
