Enrique Valles y Soler de Aragón

Enrique Valles y Soler de Aragón (* in Barcelona ; † November 21, 1889 in Santiago de Chile ) was a Spanish diplomat .

Life

His parents were Francisca Paula Soler de Aragón y de Aragones and Salvador Valles y Batlle de Manso-Suan. He studied at the University of Barcelona and later in Madrid . He completed this study with the title Licenciado de Ciencas and Civil and Canon Law. At the age of 18 he entered the diplomatic service. He was accredited to the embassies in Rome, Constantinople and Washington.

In 1875 Bárcenas was Ambassador to the Court of St James’s . He was then accredited to Wilhelm I as the first embassy secretary in Berlin . After a peace treaty between Spain and Peru was signed, he was sent to Peru in 1880 as an ambassador to Miguel Iglesias . As an agent of the Spanish government, he signed a peace treaty with the government of Domingo Santa María González in La Paz in 1884 . Subsequently, Alfonso XII sent as ambassador to the government of Chile.

He died in office and received a Chilean state funeral attended by the Chilean Foreign Minister Castellón, the Ambassador of Argentina in Chile Uriburu, the Spanish Embassy Secretary Manuel Chinchilla, the Spanish Consul in Valparaiso, Ramón Fernández de la Reguerra and his deputy Rioja.
