The Grosse Entlen (also Grosse Entle ) is an 18-kilometer right tributary of the Kleine Emme in the canton of Lucerne . After the confluence of the Kleiner Entlen it is only called Entlen . She is the namesake of the Entlebuch .

The Grosse Entlen rises on the Wasserfallenegg on the northern flank of the Fürstein directly on the border with the canton of Obwalden . At an altitude of 1158  m above sea level. M. flows from the right of the Entlebucher Rotbach into the Grosse Entlen. South of the hamlet of Brüederen, Entlebuch at 1079 m. ü. M. flows with the Rischbach the Elleggbach into the Entlen. Only a few meters later the Eibach flows from the right . Another tributary is the Gretenbach . At 818 m. ü. M. joins the Kleine Entlen from the left into the Grosse Entlen. Along its entire course of the stream, it forms the border between Hasle and Entlebuch .
