Entlibühl or Äntebüel , formerly also Koschmannskeller Kopf, was a small island in the Untersee of Lake Constance around 30 meters from the Swiss bank below Gottlieben in the canton of Thurgau . The island is shown on historical maps of Swisstopo from 1966 to 1995 in front of the western border of the community Gottlieben to the former neighboring community Triboltingen (incorporated in 1975 after Ermatingen ). From 2003 the name Äntebüel can be found here on the map in dark blue font, as well as surrounded by a closed isobath , i.e. as a designation for a hydrographic object such as B. a shoal. A cartometric measurement of the former island shows an east-west length extension of 70 meters, a maximum width of 25 meters, and an area of around 1100 square meters or 0.11 hectares .
The name Äntebüel is interpreted as "a rise in the water on which the ducks like to hang out".
The island consisted mainly of Schnegglisand . A 1911 publication states:
“ The Schnegglisande are widespread in the Untersee. In the lake area, they can also be found on the silting island Entlibühl or Koschmannskeller Kopf opposite the Langenrain (against the Swiss bank !), Which at low tide forms an extensive bank approx. 300 m long and 150 m wide and extends to the shore there. It rests directly on the sea lettuce with a thickness of 40–70 cm , its layers have a wave- like shape. (Effect of the wave and the current.) "
