The bird islands are two closely spaced islands in Lake Constance near Immenstaad . They are located directly in front of the Dornier pier and protrude vertically into the lake as a narrow strip. The two islands are only separated by a small, shallow channel. The northern island is about 6391 m², the southern about 4329 m².

The densely overgrown bird islands are breeding grounds and habitat for many native birds and are under nature protection or bird protection .

You can reach the bird islands via the premises of the Airbus Defense and Space site . The torpedo shafts of the Seewerk Immenstaad torpedo test facility, located directly in front of the southern island, are a popular destination for divers.
