The Triboldingerbohl , also Triboltinger or large Bohl , or Langenrain , is the fourth largest island on Lake Constance with an area of 135,570 m² . It is 780 meters long and up to 230 meters wide. It is located in the easternmost part of the Untersee near the point where the Seerhein flows into the Untersee (here Rheinsee ). It belongs to the nature reserve Wollmatinger Ried , and Constance district industrial area . Until 1934 this area belonged to the municipality of Wollmatingen , which was then incorporated into the city of Konstanz. The Triboldingerbohl is located 2.1 km southeast of the island of Reichenau or 1.6 km from the Reichenauer Damm and is separated from it by the Ermating Basin , an ecologically important shallow water zone.

The uninhabited bird protection island takes its name from the Swiss town of Triboltingen , which is located on the more distant, southern shore of the lake. Between the island and the mainland is the smaller island Mittler or Langbohl , only separated by a 30 to 50 meter wide canal. This canal and the one between the mainland and Mittler or Langbohl are tributaries of the Seerhein, here called hoses .

The two reed-covered islands consist of a several meters thick layer of Schnegglisand (calcium deposits from blue-green algae ), which is covered by a layer of humus.

Although uninhabited, the Triboldingerbohl can be found pro forma in the street directory of the city of Konstanz, postcode area is 78467 (Konstanz-Wollmatingen).
