Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation of the beauty and uniqueness of the landscape on the shores of Lake Constance in its small-scale alternation of wooded knolls, steep Molasse rocks , orchards and meadows interspersed with fields. The relief of the Lake Constance shore zone in its diversity with alternating steep rocks, knolls, hills and ravines is to be protected. The high recreational value with supra-regional importance due to the scenic charm and the gentle climate should be secured for the general public.
