location
The 114 hectare large conservation area Württembergisches Bodenseeufer - recast subregion Friedrichshafen-West part of the natural area for Lake Basin . It extends west of the city center of Friedrichshafen over a length of around four and a half kilometers, mainly south of federal highway 31 , between the Seemooser Horn in the east, Manzell , Fischbach and the Lipbach , the border to the neighboring municipality of Immenstaad in the west. To the south, Lake Constance forms the natural border.
Protection purpose
Essential protection purposes include
- securing the open spaces near the lake as part of the important network lines between the shores of Lake Constance and the hinterland and as a valuable green belt along Lake Constance
- the preservation of the near-natural areas with parts of the shallow water zone and the existing green structures, such as the riparian wood of the Seehag, the reed beds , the gallery forests along the Brunnisach and the Lipbach , as a habitat for animals and plants
- Securing the undeveloped or subordinate built-up open spaces, such as the villa gardens, parks, allotment gardens, the agriculturally used areas from further structural development, as valuable green structures and green axes in a largely urban environment
