Fischbach is a district of Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance .

history

Fischbach was first mentioned in a document in 674. The monastery of St. Gallen had possessions there. It came into the possession of the Konstanz Hospital via the knights Evrid and von Helmsdorf . The bailiwick exercised the successors of Helmsdorf or in the 14./15. Century Constance citizens.

Around 1500 the place fell to Austria and the Landvogtei Swabia was incorporated ; Landvogteiamt was Fischbach-Ailingen. In 1805/06, Fischbach fell to Württemberg and from 1812 belonged to the Hagendorn community, from 1825 to the Berg community . In 1850, Fischbach became part of the newly founded municipality Schnetzenhausen in the Tettnang District Office . On April 1, 1937 Schnetzenhausen came to Friedrichshafen.

coat of arms

In the middle of the 19th century, Fischbach became part of the newly founded community Schnetzenhausen in the Tettnang District Office . Schnetzenhausen then introduced the coat of arms for the then association of the four sub-communities Manzell, Schnetzenhausen, Jettenhausen and Fischbach in 1931. With the incorporation to Friedrichshafen, the coat of arms became obsolete in 1937. A seaplane is shown as a symbol for Manzell, a sheaf in yellow as a symbol for Schnetzenhausen, an apple tree as a symbol for Jettenhausen, a fish as a symbol for Fischbach.

structure

Fischbach includes:

  • Riedern
  • Crevice stone

Infrastructure

Fischbach has a stop of the same name on the Radolfzell – Friedrichshafen railway line . There are numerous hotels (Traube, Maier), pharmacies, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. in the village.

Culture

Station building

The former station building, which was opened in 1901, is now the Fischbach station cultural center with a restaurant. The cultural focus is on musical events, theater and cabaret. Theme parties are also held on a regular basis. National artists such as the bands Silbermond and Wir sind Helden , Helge Schneider and others have already performed here.

sport and freetime

The TSV Fischbach sports club currently has eleven departments, including the Dornier company sports club . The new outdoor and seaside pool was reopened in 2017 after many years of planning. The 'Colandi-Bad' with hotel planned at this point was never realized. Many residents complain about the likely increase in traffic on federal highway 31 , which is only a single lane in the Fischbach area. The Friedrichshafen bypass is currently being rebuilt in the west of the city, so that through traffic can be diverted around Fischbach from 2020 onwards.
