Schnetzenhausen is a district of Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance , which is part of the core city.

history

Schnetzenhausen was first mentioned in 809 as "Snezzinhusin". In the 11th century the Petershausen monastery , after 1200 the Weißenau and Löwental monasteries and the town of Buchhorn owned properties. A local nobility appears in the 13th century.

Around 1700 the municipality was called Amt Fischbach , then Amt Hagedorn and later Amt Berg - the name sometimes changed with the residence of the respective mayor. Later citizens of Buchhorn (today's Friedrichshafen) ruled over the place - he belonged to the Landvogtei Swabia and was part of the Fischbach-Ailingen office.

After the transition to Württemberg , the area was initially part of the municipality of Hagendorn / Berg and in 1854 became an independent municipality in the Tettnang District Office . The municipality has been called "Schnetzenhausen" since it was separated from the municipality of Berg.

On April 1, 1937 Schnetzenhausen was incorporated into Friedrichshafen.

During the 2006 soccer world championship , Schnetzenhausen became famous for the Iranian national team's headquarters in the Ringhotel Krone.
