Entoloma subg. Trichopilus is a subgenus of the genus Rötlinge . Because of the fibrous to scaly surface of the hat, the species in this group are also called felt red blooms .

The type species is the brown-leaved felt rötling ( Entoloma jubatum ).

features

The fruit bodies have a knightly , sometimes slender and almost helmet-like shape. The hat color remains unchanged when drying (not hygrophan ). The surface is fibrous to flaky. The pigment is intracellular, the sterile elements on the lamellar edges ( cheilocystidia ) are sometimes head-shaped. Buckles on the transverse walls ( septum ) of the fungal threads ( hyphae ) are usually present.
