Episcoporum Poloniae coetus
Episcoporum Poloniae coetus is a papal bull published on June 28, 1972 by Pope Paul VI. has been published. It was the result of negotiations between representatives of the Holy See and the authorities of the People's Republic of Poland in April and November 1971. The negotiations normalized relations between Poland and the Vatican. In the areas ceded to Poland by Germany after the Second World War (in Germany called former East German areas , in Poland regained areas ) a normal church hierarchy was established. Five new dioceses were established and incorporated into the existing Polish hierarchy. The structure lasted until the Apostolic Constitution Totus Tuus Poloniae populus in 1992 by Pope John Paul II .

- Diocese of Gorzów : built from parts of the Diocese of Berlin and the Prelature Schneidemühl , Wilhelm Pluta became Bishop
- Diocese of Stettin-Cammin : from parts of the Diocese of Berlin , Jerzy Stroba became bishop
- Diocese of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg : built from parts of the Diocese of Berlin and the Prelature Schneidemühl , Ignacy Jeż became bishop ;
- Diocese of Opole : from parts of the Archdiocese of Breslau , Franciszek Jop became bishop ;

- The dioceses of Gorzów and Opole form the ecclesiastical province of Wroclaw with the Archdiocese of Wroclaw

By a decree of the Bishops Congregation on the same day, the area around Görlitz and Cottbus was separated from the Archdiocese of Breslau as the Apostolic Administration .
