Erbslöh

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bergisch family Erbslöh appears in the 17th century in the Honschaft Erbschlö , a medieval and early modern rural rural community in the Bergisch Amt of Beyenburg (today mostly belonging to Wuppertal ).

Erbschloe-Erbslöh is the name of the clan in Old High German  arpiloh , which means that they are heirs ( arpi ) of a wood ( lôhen ). This "arpi", in the genitive "arpis", became "arps" through the single-stem abbreviation and through the verbal transmission "erps", "erbs", "erbsch"
