Erhard Heilemann (born September 4, 1939 ) is a former German football player who was active in 1961/62 for SC Chemie Halle in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

Already in his first season in the GDR-wide soccer game the 19-year-old Erhard Heilemann fought for a place in the regular eleven of the company sports association (BSG) Chemie Wolfen in the second-rate GDR league team. He was used 23 times in the 26 league games, and with his ten goals he was Wolfen's second best goalscorer behind his storm colleague Klaus Büchner . Heilemann was also an asset of the team in the following two seasons. In both 1960 and 1961/62 (39 game days to switch to the summer-spring season) he was only missing in a point game and was BSG Chemie's top scorer with 14 and 22 goals respectively.

Due to its excellent performance, the SC Chemie Halle, the regional football performance center and current cup winner, initiated Heilemann's change in his league team for the 1962/63 season. There he was initially used regularly as a striker until the 5th matchday, where he scored his first league goal on the 4th matchday in the match between SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt - SC Chemie (2-1) with the 1-0 lead. His only appearance in the European Cup fell during this period. On September 5, 1962, he was used in the first round match of the European Cup Winners' Cup OFK Belgrade - SC Chemie (2-0) as a center forward. In the further course of the season he was then called up only sporadically in the league, so that he came to a total of thirteen league appearances and three goals by the end of the season.

For the 1963/64 season, the Halle people no longer planned with Heilemann, who returned to Chemie Wolfen. There he played eleven point games in the GDR league by November 1963 and scored five goals. He was then called up for military service in the National People's Army for 18 months . During this time he was able to continue playing football in the GDR league with the Army Sports Association (ASG) Vorwärts Leipzig . By April 1965 Heilemann had completed 33 point games and was also the top scorer in Leipzig in 1964/65 with 13 goals. After his release, he returned to BSG Chemie Wolfen, which had since been relegated to the third-class district league . In 1968 he returned with the team to the GDR league, where he was active for two seasons. Of the 60 league games during this period, Heilemann played 53 games, but only scored three goals (1968/69). At the age of 31, Erhard Heilemann ended his career in competitive sports in the summer of 1970. Within eleven years he had been used in 13 league games (three goals) and in 184 GDR league games (70 goals).
