Erhard Paskuda

Erhard Paskuda (born September 19, 1922 in Ratibor , Upper Silesia ; † July 1, 2012 ) was a German painter .

life and career

Paskuda spent his school and youth in Upper Silesia. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . He was a master student of Professor Hans Gött . He was a member of the Free Munich and German Art Association founded in 1959 . He married the Swiss artist Sylvie de Muralt . For over 50 years he helped shape the cultural scene in Munich. He lived in Haidhausen .

His style is heavily influenced by late Expressionism as well as Pittura metafisica . The coloring of his oil paintings is strong, often dark. The big city, loneliness and the eternal search are the motifs of his pictures, which are often related to architecture.

On behalf of the city of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, he painted a portrait of the Bavarian State Minister Hans Eisenmann .
