Erhard Pesch
Erhard Pesch (born December 5, 1941 in Neutitschein , Czechoslovakia ) is a former cyclist from the GDR .
Live and act
Born in Czechoslovakia , Pesch moved to Leipzig after the end of the war . He began cycling with the BSG Rotation Leipzig-Ost . Trainer Ernst Ihbe brought him to the SC Rotation Leipzig . In 1962 Pesch won the title in the 1000 m time trial at the GDR championships in track cycling , finished second in the tandem race with his teammate Wolfgang Tertschek and came third in the sprint . In the same year Pesch was awarded the title of Master of Sports . Until 1963 he held the GDR record in the 1000 m time trial with 1: 09.5 minutes before losing it to his teammate Erhard Hancke .
Three times in his career Pesch started for the GDR in international matches.
In 1966 he ended his active career.
