Erhard Schmidt (life data unknown) was a German football player .

Career

Schmidt belonged to VfB Leipzig , for which he played point games as a defensive player in the championships organized by the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs from 1902 to 1907 in the Gau North West Saxony , the regional highest division.

During his club membership he won eight regional titles with the team and was used a total of nine times in the final round of the German championship in 1902, 1903, 1905 and 1906. On May 10, 1903, he made his debut in a 3-1 quarter-quarter victory over BTuFC Britannia 1892 . About the semi-finals won 6: 3 over Altona FC 1893 on May 17, 1903 , he and his team reached the first German final, which was won 7: 2 against DFC Prague on May 31, 1903 in Altona .

In the following season he denied with 1: 0 obtained quarter-finals against the Magdeburg FC Victoria 1896 and 3: 2-victory extension obtained semi-final against the Duisburger SpV . However, the final against BTuFC Britannia 1892 , scheduled for May 29, 1904 in Kassel , did not take place. The Karlsruher FV had lodged a protest against the rating of this championship at the DFB. In 1906 he played three more final rounds of the German championship. The quarter-finals won 9-1 against FC Norden-Nordwest Berlin on April 22nd, the semi-final won 3-2 against the Berlin football club Hertha 1892 on May 6th and the final held in Nuremberg on May 27th. The 2: 1 in the final against 1. FC Pforzheim - Heinrich Riso scored the winning goal in the 85th minute - he was again German champion.

He played his last final round game for the German championship on May 12, 1907 in the 2: 3 semi-final defeat against the eventual German champions Freiburg FC .
