Erica Durance
Erica Durance (born June 21, 1978 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a Canadian actress .
life and career
Durance grew up in Three Hills, Alberta. After graduating from high school, she moved to Vancouver with parents, Joel and Gail Durance . It was there that she discovered her tendency to act. She had her first appearances in commercials , guest roles in television series such as Tru Calling , Stargate - Kommando SG-1 and Andromeda followed. She also played a supporting role in the horror film House of the Dead .
In 2004 Durance had her breakthrough with the role of Lois Lane in the television series Smallville . Then she was one of the best newcomers in the USA and was the cover girl of the US edition of the FHM in May 2006 and this year she was ranked 38th most beautiful women in the world in the overall ranking of the FHM, in 2007 number 20, 2008 number 15 and 2009 place 14. In 2007 it graced the title edition of Maxim . In 2006 she played the role of Julie in Butterfly Effect 2 . In the third season of Supergirl , which starts in autumn 2017, she will take on the role of Alura from Laura Benanti .
In January 2005, Durance married her fellow actor David Palffy , with whom she lives in Vancouver.
