Erich Magnus von Wolffradt

Erich Magnus von Wolffradt (* 1735 ; † August 17, 1799 ) was a Prussian general of the cavalry .

Life

Erich Magnus was a member of the noble family of Wolffradt . As the son of the Swedish cavalry general Carl Gustav von Wolffradt and Adelheid Tugendreich von Arnim , he entered the Prussian military service . Under Hans Joachim von Zieten he took part in the Seven Years' War with his hussar regiment No. 3 . From 1783 to 1791 he was commander of the regiment. Subsequently, on December 29, 1791, he was promoted to Colonel Chief of Hussar Regiment No. 6 . In 1798 he was promoted to lieutenant general.

He was awarded the Order Pour le Mérite (1761) in the Seven Years' War and the Order of the Red Eagle in the Rhine Campaign .

Erich Magnus von Wolffradt was not married. With Johanna Schütz he had the illegitimate son Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Wolffradt (1782- ??), who, later legitimized, was raised to the imperial nobility only at the age of 18 on November 25, 1800 in Vienna .
