Erich Martin Wolf (born September 15, 1947 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor and theater director .

Life

Erich Martin Wolf attended secondary school in 1190 Vienna, Krottenbachstrasse, for 6 years and then studied from 1964 to 1967 in the drama school of Prof. Krauss, from which he graduated in acting and directing. From 1969 to 1978 Wolf worked as a clerk / office manager in a tax consultancy and auditing company. From 1979 to 1996 Wolf was an authorized signatory and managing director at the Herder publishing house in Vienna. He was the publisher of the Herder Wien publishing house (books for children and young people under the imprint "Kerle"). Since 1994 Wolf has been managing director of Buchhandlung und Kartenbüro GmbH as the operator of the bookstores "bookpoint" and the ticket office "ticketpoint".

Wolf's first marriage from 1972 to 1986 resulted in a son (* 1974) and a daughter (* 1977). He has been married for the second time since 2011.

Awards

On July 13, 1981 he was awarded the Golden Merit of the Republic of Austria .

On November 22, 2019, he was awarded the Gold Medal of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria.

Austrian theater community

The Austrian theater community was founded in November 1955. The theater visitor organization deals with the sale of theater and concert subscriptions and offers a diverse range of the Viennese theater scene. Erich Martin Wolf was appointed to the board as treasurer in 1975 and has been chairman of the Austrian theater community since 1987.
