Erick Walder (born November 5, 1971 in Mobile ) is a retired American athlete who mainly competed in the long jump .

His greatest achievement was winning the silver medal at the World Athletics Championships in Athens in 1997 . With a width of 8.38 m, he jumped only four centimeters shorter than the winner, Iván Pedroso from Cuba. Walder won other international medals at the World Indoor Athletics Championships. In both 1995 in Barcelona and 1999 in Maebashi , he took third place.

Walder tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine in a doping control in June 2004 , after which he was banned from competition for two years. He is 1.86 m tall and had a competition weight of 80 kg.
