Erik Sommers

Erik Sommers (* 20th century ) is an American screenwriter who mostly works with Chris McKenna on his projects .

Career

Sommers' career began in the early 2000s when he worked as a production assistant and salaried writer for various television series. He later wrote individual episodes of the television series Crank Yankers - Wrongly Connected! , Drawn Together , American Dad and Happy Endings and was also partly producer, co-producer and executive producer of these. As part of the Primetime Emmy Awards 2012 , Sommers received a nomination in the Outstanding Animated Program category as the supervising producer of the episode Too Hot Bathed on the television series American Dad . During his subsequent work on the series Community , he met the screenwriter Chris McKenna , with whom he later collaborated on the films The LEGO Batman Movie (2017), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Jumanji: Willkommen im Dschungel (2017), Ant -Man and the Wasp (2018) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) wrote. The duo will also be responsible for the script for the third Spider-Man film announced for 2021 .
