Ziegenhagen adventure park
The Ziegenhagen Adventure Park is a leisure park near Ziegenhagen in the Werra-Meißner district . The park is currently closed (as of July 2020).
Geographical location
The amusement park is located near Ziegenhagen , a west-north-western district of Witzenhausen , on the northern roof of the Kaufunger Forest and on the northern border of the geo-nature park Frau-Holle-Land (Werra Valley, Meissner , Kaufunger Forest ) . He lay south of the valley of southwestern Werra inflow Rautenbach on bis 210 230 m above sea level. NHN below the castle hill (approx. 270 m ), on which the remains of the Ziegenberg castle are located. The Münden Nature Park extends a little to the northwest of the park and Ziegenhagens .
history
The park was originally opened as a zoo on a manor site in 1967 and was later redesigned as a fairy tale park to better distinguish it from the nearby Sababurg zoo .

In October 2019, the lease between the owner and the tenant of the park was terminated. The Ziegenhagen theme park was officially closed on November 4, 2019, but on June 10, 2020 the Göttinger Tageblatt announced that the park owner Axel Surup intends to reopen the park.
Attractions
There are about 30 attractions and museums ; these included: Hubseilbahn (also called Luna Loop), Water Spring boat, moon scooter carousel for wheelchairs and strollers, Electronic bird show, ghosts castle with spooky basement, Iron Museum, stoves collection and folklore museum.
Transport links
The amusement park can be reached via the Hedemünden junction of the federal autobahn 7 and also, a little south of it, the federal highway 80 , which crosses under the district road 206, which leads south through the village and beyond the Werra to the from there mainly south to Ziegenhagen and thus to the park running state road 3302 meets. A dead end led to the park.
