Career

society

Yıldırım received a professional contract from the first division club Gaziantepspor in 1998 and played the following two seasons for the youth and reserve team of the club. Through his many assignments for the Turkish national youth teams, he was noticed by the talent scouts of Fenerbahçe Istanbul and was brought into the youth department of this club in the summer of 2000. In the 2002/03 season he was taken up by the German head coach Werner Lorant in the squad of the professional team and made his debut in the league game on November 6, 2002 against arch rivals Galatasaray Istanbul . In this game of the Intercontinental Derby , Yıldırıms team prevailed with a historic result of 6-0 against their arch-rivals. Yıldırım came on in the 85th minute for Yusuf Şimşek and was one of the players who were involved in this runaway victory over their arch-rivals. In the further course of the season he was substituted on by Lorant's successor Tamer Güney in the last two game days of the season.

For the 2003/04 season Yıldırım was set by the new head coach Christoph Daum on the list of players to be loaned and so Yıldırım was loaned to the second division Antalyaspor . After four league and one cup encounters, he dissolved his contract with Antalyaspor here in January 2004 and returned to Fenerbahçe. Here he was in the team of professionals, but played exclusively for the reserve team and was with the professional team without commitment, he became Turkish champion .

After Yıldırım was loaned to the second division Mardinspor for the 2004/05 season , he was given in the summer of 2005, including the transfer fee, to this club. After Yıldırım had spent the 2006/07 season at third division Adana Demirspor , he moved to Istanbul third division Güngören Belediyespor in the summer of 2007 . With this club he succeeded in the third division season 2007/08 the play-off win of the league and thus the promotion to the TFF 1st Lig .

Since Yıldırım at Güngören Belediyespor did not get beyond the reservist role, he was given free transfer to the third division Akhisar Belediyespor in the summer of 2008 . At this club, he quickly established himself as a regular under the leadership of head coach Mehmet Atilla Özcan . In the third division season 2009/10 he was runner-up with Akhisar and thus achieved the first promotion in the club's history to the TFF 1st Lig. In the 2nd division, the team quickly got into the relegation zone and could not free themselves from this until March 2011. So long-time head coach Özcan announced his resignation and was replaced by Hamza Hamzaoğlu . This waived Yıldırım in the remaining part of the season and secured relegation with his team on the last match day. After Yıldırım came back to a competitive game for Akhisar in the first game days of the season, he was given to the third division Yeni Malatyaspor before the end of the summer transfer period .

In the summer of 2012 he moved to the fourth division Belediye Vanspor and ended his career here after one season at the age of 30.
