Ernest Schwindsackl

Ernest Schwindsackl (born May 24, 1954 in Graz ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Since January 15, 2019, he has been a member of the Austrian Federal Council delegated by the Styrian Landtag .

Life

After compulsory school, Ernest Schwindsackl completed a commercial school and an apprenticeship as a banker , as well as a WIFI trainer training. From 1970 he was employed by the savings bank, and in 1977 he became regional manager of the Young ÖVP Styria. From 1982 he was head of the Raiffeisen leisure club at Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark , where he retired in 2010 .

Ernest Schwindsackl was chairman of the Young People's Party (JVP) in Graz - Wetzelsdorf , member of the state party leadership of the Styrian People's Party , ÖAAB -Obmann and ÖVP district council in Graz- Straßgang . He has been city group chairman of the Graz Senior Citizens 'Association since 2014 and Deputy Regional Chairman of the Styrian Senior Citizens' Union since 2016. He is also a member of the Grazer and the Styrian Seniors' Advisory Council, is district party chairman of the ÖVP Straßgang and diocesan councilor and member of the Graz City Church. As a councilor for the city of Graz, he focused on social issues, senior citizens, health, care, security, finances, education and the constitution. Sabine Wagner is supposed to take over his council mandate.

After Armin Forstner moved from the Federal Council to the Styrian State Parliament on January 15, 2019, his Federal Council mandate went to Ernest Schwindsackl. He was born on February 14, 2019 as the Federal sworn in .
