Ernesto Vecchi
Ernesto Vecchi (born January 4, 1936 in San Giovanni in Persiceto , Province of Bologna , Italy ) is auxiliary bishop emeritus in Bologna .
Life
Ernesto Vecchi was ordained a priest on July 25, 1963 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Lemellefa and auxiliary bishop in Bologna on July 18, 1998 . The Archbishop of Bologna, Giacomo Cardinal Biffi , donated him episcopal ordination on September 13 of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Curia Bishop Piero Marini and Claudio Stagni , Auxiliary Bishop in Bologna. Ernesto Vecchi was a lecturer in pastoral theology from 1984 to 2011 and vicar general of the Archdiocese of Bologna from 2004 to 2011 .
On February 8, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
From February 2, 2013 to June 21, 2014 he was the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Terni-Narni-Amelia . Bishop Giuseppe Piemontese was appointed as his successor on February 27, 2014 .
