Ernst von Edlmann

Ernst Friedrich Edlmann (also: Ernst Ritter von Edlmann or Ernest Friedrich Edlmann * June 17 (or June 19 according to the baptism entry) 1831 in Klagenfurt ; † November 24, 1916 there ) was an Austrian agronomist , lawyer and member of the Austrian House of Representatives .

Life

Ernst Edlmann was the son of Friedrich Ritter von Edlmann († 1880), a lawyer and landowner . After studying law at the Universities of Vienna , Innsbruck and Graz doctorate he in 1853 to Dr. iur. in Vienna. He was the owner of the Pichlern / Gorice-Marienhof estate in the municipality of Hörtendorf , which today belongs to Klagenfurt. From 1880 he also owned the Saager / Zagorje estate in the Mieger / Medgorje community, today part of the Ebenthal community in Carinthia . From 1867 he was Vice President of the Agricultural Society for Carinthia, between 1871 and 1899 President of the same.

He was a Roman Catholic and had been married to Friederike von Reyer († 1858) since 1855, with whom he had a daughter who, however, died early. In 1881 he married Marie Rauscher, who died in 1896.
