Ernst Kröll (born November 8, 1948 in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer ) is a former Austrian ski jumper .

Career

Kröll gained his first successes with bronze at the European Junior Championships and with the start of the Four Hills Tournament in 1967/68 . After jumping to a disappointing 64th place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he surprised with 12th place on the Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck . After finishing 20th in Bischofshofen , he finished 18th in the overall ranking. After reaching 21st and 33rd overall at the 1968/69 Four Hills Tournament and the 1969/70 Four Hills Tournament , he started at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1970 in Vysoké Tatry , their ski jumping competitions on the MS 1970 A and MS 1970B are located in Štrbské Pleso . From the large hill he only missed a medal by a good two points and ended up fourth. On Easter Monday 1970, Kröll won the jumping on the Lachtal large hill.

In the winter of 1972, Kröll injured his vertebrae while skiing on the slopes in the Alps. Private

Kröll began basic police training in Innsbruck in 1968, switched to the gendarmerie in Salzburg in 1971 and began his service with the gendarmerie at the Saalfelden post on September 1, 1971 . In the following year he got a position in the traffic department in the state gendarmeriekommando Salzburg. From 1976 to 1978 he completed the officers' course in Mödling. Then Kröll moved to the gendarmerie detachment command in Zell am See. From 1980 to 1993 he was in command of the command. By the way, he was assigned to the "Cobra" gendarmerie task force from 1982 to 1992 (jointly responsible for physical training, rope technology and personal protection). On July 1, 1995, Ernst Kröll was appointed State Police Commander of Salzburg. After the merging of the gendarmerie and police, he held the title of State Police Commander for Salzburg from July 2005 and was responsible for around 1,600 officers.
