Ernst and Heinrich are a Swabian artist duo that offers a mixture of comedy , recital, cabaret and parodies . The comedian duo consists of Ernst Mantel and Heiner Reiff, who perform their “Swabian-international” live music, skits and curious presentations with an exotic hodgepodge of instruments.
Life
Ernst Mantel (* 1956) grew up in Heuchlingen ( Ostalbkreis ) in a musically oriented family and studied art history . He has been a comedian and musician since 1981 and was a founding member of the successful Kleiner Tierschau .
The musician and producer Heiner Reiff , who comes from Tübingen , was a guitarist for Champain in the early 1980s , with whom he toured the USA . After founding his band Giro Combo and a duo with the writer Bernhard Lassahn , Reiff was also active as a versatile musician for Schwoißfuaß , the Kleine Tierschau and the Shy Guys .
Both met in 1984 during joint engagements at WDR in Cologne . They made their debut as Ernst and Heinrich in 1998 in Stuttgart .
Prizes and awards
- In 2006 they received the Sebastian Blau Prize for Swabian Dialect .
- In 2007 they received the Baden-Württemberg Cabaret Prize as a duo .
