Ernst R. Hauschka

Ernst Reinhold Hauschka (born August 8, 1926 in Ústí nad Labem , Czechoslovakia ; †  May 29, 2012 in Regensburg ) was a German aphorist and poet .

Life

Ernst R. Hauschka studied philosophy, education, theology and newspaper studies in Regensburg and Munich . In 1957 he received his doctorate in philosophy from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. From 1956 to 1988 he worked in the higher library service in Bavaria. From 1965 to 2003 he wrote 31 books, 17 of which were volumes of aphorisms. Many of his aphorisms have been published in calendars, magazines and compilations. Hauschka was one of the most cited German-speaking aphorists of the present and the recipient of numerous literary awards and prizes.

Hauschka was involved in numerous social projects in the Holy Land . In 1975 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Maximilien Cardinal de Fuerstenberg and invested in the order on May 2, 1975 in the Regensburg Cathedral by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .

He was married to Helene Hauschka, b. Hot (1924-2008).
