Ernst Schladitz

Ernst Schladitz (born January 27, 1935 in Langenweddingen ) is a former German trade unionist ( FDGB ) and politician ( SED ). He was chairman of the Magdeburg district board of the FDGB and a candidate for the SED central committee .

Life

Schladitz was born into a working-class family and attended elementary school . He learned the trade of machine fitter and worked in this profession. Between 1960 and 1962 he qualified as a master craftsman in evening classes and from 1965 to 1969 he completed a distance learning course at the engineering school for mechanical engineering and electrical engineering with a degree as an engineer-economist.

In 1958 Schladitz joined the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). From 1962 to 1965 he was deputy BGL chairman, from 1965 to 1969 BGL chairman in the Magdeburg-Buckau main plant of the VEB heavy machine construction combine "Ernst Thälmann" (SKET). From 1969 he acted as chairman of the combine union management. From 1963 he was a candidate and from 1969 to 1989 a member of the FDGB federal executive committee, from 1972 also of its presidium. From April 1981 Schladitz was a candidate for the Central Committee of the SED . From March 13, 1982 to March 1990, he acted as chairman of the Magdeburg district board of the FDGB. On April 16, 1982 he was co-opted into the SED district leadership in Magdeburg and elected to the secretariat of the district leadership.
