Erwin Hasenclever (born January 31, 1880 in Badenweiler ; † September 19, 1914 near Craonne , Picardie ) was a German lawyer, mining manager and politician.

Life

After graduating from high school, Erwin Hasenclever studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg , the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and most recently again at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität. In 1900 he was reciprocated in the Corps Rhenania Bonn . After completing his studies, he became a trainee lawyer in Müllheim (Baden) in 1903 . He passed the assessor exam in 1906 and became a government assessor in Oberuhldingen and Gelsenkirchen . In 1907 he moved to Gelsenkirchener Bergwerks-AG as a legal assistant . In 1910 he rose to the position of legal advisor, director and deputy board member. He had been a city ​​councilor in Gelsenkirchen since 1911 . In 1913 he was elected to the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Arnsberg 11 district (city and district of Gelsenkirchen) , where he belonged to the faction of the National Liberals. Hasenclever fell at the age of 34 as a first lieutenant in the Landwehr near Craonne in France in the second month of the First World War .
