Erwin Kostyra
Erwin Kostyra (born August 13, 1953 in Berlin ) is a German metal construction entrepreneur and association official .
Life
Erwin Kostyra is the son of the Berlin entrepreneur of the same name, Erwin Kostyra sen., Who bought a building locksmith's shop in Berlin-Mitte in 1951 and built up the Alustahl family business from it. From 1960 to 1970 he attended the 9th Polytechnic High School " Rosa Thälmann " in Berlin-Friedrichshain . This was followed by training as a graduate engineer .
Entrepreneurial activity
In 1986 he took over his father's company Alustahl Metallbau E. Kostyra eK , which mainly works in the field of planning, modernization, maintenance and commissioning of door systems, gates and windows and has been based in Berlin-Pankow for a long time . He runs the family business together with his sons. Managing director of the entrepreneurial company Alustahl MeKoTec and Alustahl Kostyra GmbH has been his son Daniel (* 1973) since 2013.
Erwin Kostyra also works as a publicly appointed and sworn expert for metal construction.
Association functions
As a representative in the field of metal construction, Kostyra has been the State Guild Master of the State Guild Association (LIV) Metal Berlin-Brandenburg and Guild Master of the Guild for Metal and Plastics Technology Berlin for many years . At the Bundesverband Metall (BVM) he was for a long time the Vice President responsible for the professional training department in the federal association. Since November 7, 2013 he has been President of the BVM. Since August 28, 2009, he has also been President of the European Metal Union (EMU) on an international level .
Kostyra has also been Vice President and employer representative of the Berlin Chamber of Crafts for many years , since 2013 member of the Presidium of the German Crafts Association (UDH), member of the Board of Trustees of the Berlin Technology Foundation and member of the examination and certification committee of the Berlin-Brandenburg State Association of the German Association for Welding and Allied Processes (DVS). At the Bürgschaftsbank zu Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH (BBB) he is on the craft guarantee committee and on the supervisory board of the Berliner Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit mbH (BGZ).
