The Archdiocese of Jinan ( Latin Archidioecesis Zinanensis ) is a Roman Catholic Archdiocese in the People's Republic of China with its seat in Jinan .
history
It was founded on September 3, 1839 as the Apostolic Vicariate of Scian-Ton Settentrionale (North Shantung), changed its name to Tsinanfu on December 3, 1924 and was raised to the Archdiocese of Jinan on April 1, 1946 . It is a metropolitan bishopric of seven suffragan bishops .
