Es wird nicht is the sixth studio album by the German rock band Knorkator . It was released on September 16, 2011 on their own label Tubareckorz and was the band's first album since the three-year break.

Origin and PhD

After the separation in 2008, the band members initially devoted themselves to solo projects. In November 2010, singer Stumpen announced on his blog that they would "stop quitting" and that a new album was due for 2011. Keyboard player Alf Ator also confirmed this in his blog at the beginning of November 2010. Then work began on the new album. On April 8, 2011, the band played their first concert in Munich since the end of 2008. Other concerts followed, including a small tour in Germany. The highlight was a performance at Wacken Open Air . The album itself was released on September 16, 2011.

Reviews

Robert Fröwein from Laut.de writes about the album that he lacks creativity overall. Although the album is more suitable for the masses than its predecessor, Knorkator is still a matter of taste. After a good start, the album is wearing off. He describes the cover versions as superfluous. The rating is 2 out of 5 stars.

Thomas Pilgrim from Plattentests.de also only awards 3 out of 10 points. He says the album lacks any originality. The content is uncomfortable and the melodies are primitive. He sees the opener Du Nich and the participation of Tim Tom Ator as a splash of color.

whiskey-soda.de rates the album a bit more positively. The critic gives a school grade of 2 and writes that the band remains true to itself and the willingness to experiment continues. He gives the song Sofort special praise .

Videos

A music video was released for each of the three single releases. Since most of the actors in the videos sit on chairs, the band also calls these videos "chair triology". You nich was released on September 14th, the other videos were published on tape.tv on September 17th, 2011 , and on September 18th, 2011 the videos were also available on the band's YouTube channel.

In the video for Du nich , Stumpen and Till Lindemann , singer of the band Rammstein , sit on two chairs in front of a house wall. While Stumpen tries to make his counterpart laugh, he does not change gestures and facial expressions.

In the second video, Ass Face , you see Tim Tom Ator, accompanied by two boys his age , walking towards a table with two chairs. A human-annoy-not- playing field is set up on the table . During the course of the video, a game develops between Ator and the musician and actor Roger Baptist known as Rummelsnuff . Finally Rummelsnuff throws the field to the ground and challenges Ator to an arm wrestling competition, which he wins. Then he leaves the picture. At the end of the video, the other actors do the same.

In the third video, which was filmed for the single You are to blame , you can see Stumpen sitting alone on a chair in front of a wall. During the intro, another chump is faded in, who talks to the first one and blames him for everything. In the end, the first figure leaves the picture, which is why the second yells after him.

A video was also published for the children's song , but this was released in 2008 with the publication of the DVD Weg downward .
