Rajko Gohlke (born September 25, 1969 in Leipzig ) is a German bassist and guitarist .

Life

In 1987 Rajko Gohlke founded his first band Das Phenomen with guitarist Joey A. Vaising ( Think About Mutation , The Sonic Boom Foundation ) , from which the band The Tishvaisings with swarm on vocals quickly developed, which later became The Art Of The Legendary Tishvaisings and made it onto John Peel's broadcast on BBC Radio 1 with their first record . After the band split in 1991, he, drummer Kay Setzepfand and Joey A. Vaising developed two parallel band projects. The thrash metal band DOD (Death On Doomsday) and the later successful Think About Mutation, which existed until 2002 and released a total of five albums. In 1998 the film director Jan Peter hired the band for his film Over the Rainbow / Behind the Rainbow , u. a. with Bela B. A year after the end of the TAM, Gohlke initially walked on a solo path with his electro surfing trash one-man band Microwave , in which he played guitar and sang along with programmed sequences. In 2004, RJKK Hänsch aka Ray van Zeschau asked him to replace the bassist Heiko Schramm who had been unable to perform for a special concert by the Friends of Italian Opera . Shortly afterwards, FDIO drummer Ralph Qno Kunze joined Microwave in the newly created position on electric drums. At the same time he was hired as bassist for the blue southern rock band Krieger , which Rammstein manager Emanuel Fialik had signed. In 2007 Ray van Zeschau won him over for his 1950s psychometal project The Distorted Elvises . A year later, the former keyboardist and bassoonist of the FDIO , Roger Baptist, founded his alter ego Rummelsnuff, whose guitarist he became in 2008. In 2009, RJKK Hänsch formed the Friends of Italian Opera with a new line-up and brought Rajko Gohlke back on board. On November 17th, 2009 they played in the great hall of the Centraltheater Leipzig . In 2010 he received the offer to fill the vacant position of bassist for the reunited Knorkator . Rajko Gohlke lives in Leipzig and Berlin.
